Change the
saw band
ATTENTION!
This metal band saw is constructed for saw
bands with the dimensions 3770 x 34 x 1.1
mm mm. The use of other saw bands may
lead to worse cutting results.

Lift the saw arch about to the half height and close
the lowering valve.

Turn the saw arch to the right.

Secure the metal band saw against restarting.


Open the cover of the saw bow and remove the pro-
tective covers of the saw band guides.

Release the saw band tension by turning the hand-
wheel counterclockwise.

First lift the saw band of the left belt roller and then of
the driven band pulley.

Clean the complete saw band area.

Proceed the opposite way to assemble the new saw
band. Make sure that the saw band is positioned cor-
rectly onto the belt rollers and in the band guidance
bearings.

Look for the correct direction of the saw teeth. The
saw teeth have to point to the drive engine.

Retighten the saw band.

If required, readjust the saw band guidances.


Close the saw band housing.

Proceed a trial run.

Assemble all the removed protective covers.
ATTENTION!
In order to achieve an optimum service life
with a new saw band, it is necessary to run-in
the saw band carefully.

