4.8.03 Font Test
General Information
The Font Test gives samples of the various fonts and sizes available with the Microline 380 printer.
Header
At the top of the test is a header.
This header provides the following information: printer model (1) , emulation (2), version (3), firmware
revision number (4), firmware part number (5), character generator revision number (6), and character
generator part number (7).

CAUTION
Running the test without paper loaded will allow the printhead to print on the platen. This will dirty the
platen, cause excessive wear of the ribbon, and may damage the platen, ribbon, and printhead.
Procedure
1. Load continuous feed paper into the printer.
2. Power OFF the printer.
3. Press and hold the FEED button while powering ON the printer.
4. The test will print.
This test is two pages long.
5. When the test has finished printing, the SELECT lamp will light.
To stop printing the test (before it is complete), follow these steps.
1. Press the SELECT button.
2. The printer will finish printing the current line.
3. The printer will perform a line feed and a carriage return. 1 2 3 4 5
