Installation

3.1

Quick installation guide

#

Warning!
If the measuring point or parts of the measuring point are in explosion-hazardous areas you
have to follow the "Safety instructions for electrical apparatus certified for use in explosion-
hazardous areas". These instructions (XA194a300) are part of the scope of delivery.

Proceed as follows to completely install the measuring point:

• Install the transmitter (see "Installation instructions" section).
• If the sensor is not yet installed in the measuring point, install it (see Technical Information

of the sensor).

• Connect the sensor to the transmitter as illustrated in the "Electrical connection" section.
• Connect the transmitter as illustrated in the "Electrical connection" section.
• Commission the transmitter as explained in the "Commissioning" section.

3.1.1

Measuring system

A complete measuring systems comprises:
• The transmitter OPM223 or OPM253
• A pH/ORP electrode with or without an integrated temperature sensor
• An immersible, flow or retractable assembly
• A measuring cable(e.g. OPK9)

Options: extension cable, junction box VBA or VBM
