4.8 CONNECTING THE PRINTER TO YOUR PC
4.8.1 System requirements
To use your printer with the driver, you need a PC that complies with the following system requirements :
System OS
Windows 2000 Professional
CPU Pentium III 1 GHz or higher
Memory (RAM) 512 MB or more
Hard disk space 10 GB or more
Notes

The memory requirements may vary depending on the type of applications you are using and the
complexity of the document you want to print.
•
Océ recommends you to use a hard disk memory RAM as large as possible.
•
Please also refer to the recommendation made by the manufacturer of the RIP software you have
selected.
4.8.2 Selecting cables
This printer is compatible with following interfaces:
¾ Centronics interface
¾ Network interface
The following cables are necessary to connect your printer to the computer. Prepare appropriate cables
according to the computer to be connected.
¾ Centronics interface: Centronics interface cable
¾ Network interface: 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Ethernet cable that is compatible with both.
