The Blotting Station
The blotting station is located in the left side of the gantry opposite to the capping station.
Blotting is required to remove excess ink and/or solvent from the printhead’s nozzle
plates.

Changing the Blotting cloth
The blotting cloth is supplied in a roll. When the blotting cloth requires replacing, a
message is displayed for the operator on the control panel.
To change the blotting cloth:
1. Leave the blotting station in its default raised position. Remove the old roll of blotting
cloth and discard.
2. Remove the old cardboard core and save it for use in Step 4.
Important: Do not re-use Blotting cloth as this may cause improper blotting resulting
in overspraying and poor quality prints.
