This Multi-TID topology provides one of the more robust active-active RAID
storage solution for dual host systems with dual Fibre ports.
It offers advantages of high availability and high-performance where each host
requires access to all LUNs. It also provides for redundant active-active
controllers, transparent failover and failback, and shared storage between two
host systems.
It’s two disadvantages are the single Fibre loop which becomes a point of failure,
and this topology requires dual ported HBA’s and multiple cables.
In this configuration the Host I/O card switch 4 is set to the “Up” position.
Switch 4 ties the H0 and H1 ports to the same Fibre loop. This allows both host
port on each Host I/O card with an active connection to the specific controller
host port.
