CUSTOMIZE APPLICATION
The Customize Application dialog box contains the default parameters used when storing a downloaded file
for the first time. Any changes made in this dialog box will affect future downloaded files. To customize an
existing file, use the
Customize File dialog box. See below for more details.
Each item setting can be edited. To edit an item setting, click on a parameter in the box on the left side of the
dialog box. The setting for that selected parameter will appear in the box on the right side of the dialog box.
NOTE When using the magnetic sensor to trigger the RPM reading, the Spur and Pinion gear values must be
updated in the Customize Application dialog box prior to downloading data from the Novak Sentry Data
Logger device. Failure to do so will result in incorrect RPM readings.

Glass Effect – Turns the glass effect on the gauges in the Real-Time and
Playback display sections on and off.

RPM Ratio – Number of motor turns for every turn of the rotating object the
magnet(s) are attached. This value should be 1 (default) when using the
brushless motor sensor for RPM calculation.

Speed Unit – Selects Unit of measure for speed throughout the program, either
KPH or MPH. When the speed unit is set to KPH, the software assumes the tire
diameter entered in the
Customize View section is in millimeters. When the
speed unit is set to MPH, the software assumes the tire diameter entered is in
inches.

Temperature Unit – Selects unit of measurement for Temperature throughout
the program, in either Fahrenheit or Celsius.

Graph Color - The color for display on the graphs can be changed.

Max Value - Maximum display value for the selected sensor can be changed.
This is especially useful for fitting data on the graphs or fine tuning the program
to your particular applications.

Name String - The display name used to identify the selected sensor throughout
the application/file. Modify the name for easier identification.
CUSTOMIZE FILE
The Customize File dialog box is very similar to the Customize Application dialog box. However, any
changes made to this section only affect the selected file. In exception, the graph color setting can not be
changed in this section. Any customization of the graph color can be done in the
Customize Application
dialog box only. In addition, the RPM ratio and magnet count settings cannot be changed in the Customize File
dialog box. These settings must be updated in the Customize Application dialog box prior to downloading a
log file from the Novak Sentry Data Logger device.
