• a backup may contain changes that corrupt controller operation
You cannot overwrite a locked backup.
Suspending and unsuspending automated backups
Suspend automated database backup during any INM system maintenance
activities, such as:
• rebooting an INM workstation
• reinstalling INM Backup & Restore software
• changing workstation date/time settings
At the completion of these maintenance activities, unsuspend the automated
backup to allow automated backups to resume.
Collection information
The INM B&R software collects and backs up the database from each
controller on request or at scheduled intervals. This backup of the database is
stored on the INM server to be used if a database has to be restored to the
controller.
OPC
The database collected from the OPC is the current contents of the OPC at the
time of collection.
NPC
Before the network processor controller (NPC) database is backed up to the
INM, the NPC collects an update from each of its shelf processors (SP).
