Modifying and Upgrading

the CMTS 1000

Introduction

The CMTS 1000 use the Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) to perform
software upgrades. The following sections describe how to upgrade Bay
Network’s Cable Modem and Cable Modem Termination System run-time
software.

Bay Network’s CMTS 1000 can be upgraded manually using an SNMP
manager, both on-line and off-line. The modems can also be automatically
upgraded using the LCn Provisioning Server.
