Procedure 4 Turning on the laser using the front panel controls
Action
1 Connect to the laser using the procedures in Communicating with the Laser on page 57 .
2 a. If the interlock circuit is in an open state or
not terminated with the included External
bus defeater – the External interlock
message is displayed.
To clear it, close all bus connections and
place a bus defeater on the External bus
connection of the bus chain’s last
connected device’s.
Note if the laser is operating in standalone
mode, place the bus defeater on the
External bus connector.
b. Door interlock message – the message is
displayed when the door interlock circuit is
open. Close the circuit to clear the
message.
Note After closing all interlock circuits,
ensure to acknowledge the alarm using
the key switch – Acknowledging interlock alarms on page 92 .
3 If the Key switch off message is displayed –
go to step 4.
4 Turn the key switch on the front panel to the
ON position.
