Editing and Deleting Tones
After you have added and learned a new tone, you may need to edit that
tone. Technical Support will instruct you if this is the case. You may
also need to delete tones if you have mistakenly learned the same tone
twice. At any time, you can print/display the Tone Table to see what
tones are available (option P from the Tone Table list of options). This
is handy when you are done editing or deleting to verify that your
changes were made.
When you add and learn tones, generally there are two areas you must
edit: Type and Call Progress Analysis Result (columns labeled TYP
and CPA, respectively on the Tone Table). Descriptions of these fields
are on the following pages.
To edit or delete a tone record:
1.
Start up the System Configuration Management Program (see
Chapter 1). From the Main Menu, press T for Tone Table. If you
are already at the Tone Table, go to step 2.

If you are deleting a tone, press D for Delete and follow the
prompts. Otherwise, go to step 3.

To edit a tone, enter the ID of the tone you wish to edit and press
Enter.
4.
Make the desired entries. After each entry, press Enter to advance
to the next field. The fields and their entries are explained below
and on the following pages. You will notice that these fields
correspond to each column on the Tone Table.
5.
When done, you will be returned to the Tone Table. Press Q to
return to the System Configuration Management Program’s Main
Menu.
