Adding and Learning Tones
The Learning Tones procedure in the System Configuration
Management Program learns and stores a new tone so that the Voice
Mail will recognize it. The Learning Tones procedure scans a tone’s
frequencies, cadence, and other attributes and stores them as a record in
the System Configuration Management Program’s tone database. To
view a tone record, use Edit a tone by tone id from the Tone Table
Options Menu. Before you Learn Tones you must use the Adding New
Entries procedure so that you can create space for the new tones on the
Tone Table.
Note: At any time, you can print/display the Tone Table to see what
tones are available (option P from the Tone Table list of options). This
is handy when you are done adding and learning a tone to verify that
your changes were made.
To Add a New Entry
1.
Start up the System Configuration Menu.
2. From the Main Menu, type T and press Enter.
The Tone Table for your phone system appears:
