TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Possible Symptom

Hydraulic Hopper will not raise.

Part B:

Note: Key switch must be turned on

Replace hydraulic hopper cylinder

Hopper will not raise

Inspect for possible mechanical

binding of:

•Hopper linkage

•Hopper cylinder

Repair or replace damaged parts

does the hopper raise?

Is hopper cylinder in relief?

Is the hopper over its weight

550 lbs. capacity?

Empty the hopper.

Does the hopper raise?

Plumb in a pressure gauge at the

pump port (B) See Figure 1.

Test the relief valve setting

(1500psi) by activating the

hopper up switch.

Adjust, clean or

replace relief valve.

Does the hopper raise?

Remove and disassemble

•L6 hopper raise spool valve
(cartridge) inspect clean and reinstall.
•Does the hopper raise?

Replace defective

spool valve L6 hopper

raise.

Does the hopper raise?

Does the pump motor run?
