For the engine to start, the

the deadband range, indicating that the foot pedal is in the neutral position.
Once the engine is running, the

must read a voltage through
Drive Pedal Sensor
indicating that the
foot pedal has moved from the neutral position in order to actuate the scrub/sweep functions.
