Vacuum set points:
• FlexPak 1000 = 20kPa
• FlexPak 800 = 35kPa
Closing time is Approximately 5 seconds in a 35kPa vacuum.
8.2.2 FCDely(T) Parameter Calculation See, Timing diagram
35kPa vacuum → Closing time = 5 seconds.
ClenCyl(TL) → TL = 3 seconds ( Load time is 3 seconds to first FC pulse).
FCDely(T) = (Closing time) - (ClenCyl(TL)) = 5 - 3 = 2 seconds.
FCDely(T)T = 2 seconds.
T = 2s → 2 second delay before ClenCyl(TL) function activates and 3 second load time
before the first FC pulse is activated.
8.2.3 Default FCDely(T) Parameter Settings
• TH = 1s Default setting (Don’t change this parameter value!).
• TL = 2s Default setting.
• Ta = Elapsed time since FC Start Impulse was activated.
8.3 IsoVDly(T) Parameter Settings
Vacum Equalization Time
IsoVDly (T) is a delay timer to ensure a closed Duct Isolation Damper until vacuum in the
filter housing is higher than the duct system. Creating a high vacuum in the filter housing
prevents a possible vacuum in the duct system that could create a reverse flow of air that
triggers the Duct Isolation safety valve.
Attention
Always set IsoVDly(T) timer to a time longer than ClenCyl(TH) parameter:
IsoVDly (T) = ClenCyl(TH) + X seconds.
X depends on size of the pipe system between the Duct Isolation
Damper and filter. Default is 4 seconds. Increase IsoVDly (T) parameter if a problem occurs
such as the unintended activation of the Duct Isolation safety valve.
8.3.1 Default IsoVDly(T) Parameter Settings
TL= 4s delay after the third FC pulse occurs and before Duct Isolation Damper opens.
8.4 Default ClenCyl(T) Parameter Settings
Do not change these parameters if filter cleaning is sufficient.
• TH=2s: Default FC pulse time.
• TL= 3s: Default Vacuum Load time.
8.4.1 Procedure to set ClenCyl(T) Parameter
In the function ClenCyl(T), the cleaning pulse time and vacuum load time can be set.
8.4.2 Settings TH = Cleaning Pulse Time (FC Valve opening Time)
The length of the pulse time is difficult to predetermine. From experience, 1-3 seconds
works in most applications. It is possible to use other timings, but it has to be tested at the
site. It is appropriate to start with the default time.
