Installation procedure
1. Start ShieldPRO.
2. Right click [Start]
[Explore].
3. Navigate to C:\WINXP\DRV\TouchPad.
4. Double click on the file
setup.exe
application.
5. At the [Installshield Wizard] screen select
Next
.
6. If a [Hardware Installation] window appears indicating the Windows Logo test has not been
passed, press
Continue Anyway
.
7. At the [Installshield Wizard Complete] screen, select “ Yes, I want to restart my computer
now” and press
Finish
.
8. Once ShieldPRO reboots, select [Start]
[Control Panel]
[Mouse] to show that the
additional features of the ALPS mouse Properties are displayed.
7.4.8.3.
Deletion procedure
1. Start Windows.
2. Click [Start]
[Control Panel].
3. Double-click [Add or Remove Programs].
4. Click [ALPS Touch Pad Driver] and [Change/Remove].
5. If the [Confirm File Deletion] dialog box appears, click [Yes].
6. Follow the directions on the dialog box to uninstall the Touch Pad utility.
7. When the uninstallation is complete, reboot ShieldPRO.

Infineon Security Platform
A set of installation software is saved in drive C:\WINXP\TPM directory and also on the CDROM provided in
the TOOLS directory.
7.4.9.1.
Overview
Infineon Security Platform is not installed by default. Ensure you record all passwords set using this
feature in a safe and secure place.
Infineon Security Platform allows electronic mail and files to be encrypted and therefore cannot be
opened without an authentication password.
In addition, ShieldPRO is equipped with a security chip called TPM (Trusted Platform Module)
which stores encryption keys. Even if the HDD is removed from ShieldPRO, the encryption key
protects the data in the HDD.
