CHAPTER 7 CONNECTING TARGET SYSTEM
(1) Connect the target system and emulation probe
Connect the emulation probe to the target system following the steps described below.
For the details of connection, refer to the User’s Manual of the I/O emulation board or emulation probe.

Procedure
<1> Connect the ground clip of the emulation probe to GND (signal ground) of the CPU on the target system.
Caution Unless the ground clip is connected, the IE-784000-R may be damaged by static
electricity.
<2> Insert the tip of the emulation probe to the CPU socket on the target system. At this time, match pin
1 of the CPU socket and pin 1 of the tip of the emulation probe.
