Cleaning the SaHoMa
®
-II mesh nebulization unit when using brine inhalants
Especially when brine inhalants are used, the SaHoMa
®
-II mesh nebulization unit may
be clogged by salt crystals.
Therefore, proceed as follows when cleaning:
1. Fill approx. 5 ml of distilled water into the medication chamber of the
SaHoMa
®
-II mesh nebulization unit.
2. Set the SaHoMa
®
-II mesh nebulization unit aside for a few minutes and let the
distilled water act on the mesh membrane. During this time it dissolves the salt
particles.
3. Empty the SaHoMa
®
-II mesh nebulization unit completely and refill approx.
1 ml of distilled water.
4. Start the SaHoMa
®
-II control unit and wait until the distilled water has been
completely nebulized. Then switch off the SaHoMa
®
-II control unit.
5. Let the open SaHoMa
®
-II mesh nebulization unit air dry on an absorbent
surface. Make sure that no residual liquid can run back onto the membrane.

Advice
Cleaning with concentrated detergent makes little sense with persistant salt
incrustations. Therefore, these should always be removed as described above
before using the concentrated detergent.
