Chapter 6: BIOS Updating Procedures

Updating Procedure: 7452-35xx

Updating the PC BIOS

1.

 

Boot the workstation using Disk 2 of the 7452/7453 BIOS and BIOS
Update Software (P/N: 497-0417804, LPIN: A370-0038-0100) and the
Startup Menu displays:

 

1. Flash PC BIOS on 7452/7453-40xx (Celeron)

 

2. Flash PC BIOS on 7452/7453-35xx (CRT)

 

3. Flash PC BIOS on 7452/7453-35xx (LCD
Simultaneous)

 

4. Flash PC BIOS on 7452/7453-35xx (Home Depot)

2.

 

From the Startup Menu, select Item 2 (CRT), Item 3
(LCD/Simultaneous) or Item 4 (Home Depot), and then press
Enter.

3.

 

The utility updates the BIOS.

4.

 

After a successful BIOS update, reboot the workstation.

Updating the Memory Dump ROM

Note: 

The hardware must be installed and enabled to successfully

update the Memory Dump ROM.
