Chapter 3:  Installing Optional Hardware Features

Before the 5963 Touch Screen can be connected to the 7452
Workstation, a PCI LCD board must be installed in the workstation. If
a Series 4000 compatible Touch Screen was ordered, then a PCI LCD
board is necessary to connect the Touch Screen to the Series 4xxx
Motherboard LCD port.

All active matrix (TFT) 5963 Touch Screens connect to both the SVGA
PCI LCD board and the Motherboard LCD port on the Series 4xxx
workstation. On the other hand, there are two versions of the passive
(DSTN) 5963 Touch Screens. One version will work properly only with
the SVGA PCI LCD board, and the other version will work properly
when connected to the Motherboard LCD port on the Series 4xxx
workstations.

Note: 

The PCI LCD Board can ONLY be installed in a 7452 with a 686

or 4xxx Motherboard. 7452 Workstations with a 586 Motherboard do
not have PCI slots.

Equipment

If the PCI LCD Board has been obtained by ordering either the 5963
LCD Display or the PCI LCD Board Kit, the following equipment is
