Chapter 3:  Installing Optional Hardware Features

Installing a Checkstand Base

The cable(s) for a 5953 DynaKey can be routed through the Checkstand
Base. To install a 5953 DynaKey onto a Checkstand Base, follow these
steps:

1.

 

Loosen the Thumbscrew on the side of the Checkstand Base and
then slide the upper half of the Checkstand Base out of the lower
half of the Checkstand Base.

Side Cover

Slide the Side Cover off the lower half of the Checkstand Base.

3.

 

In the appropriate location on the countertop, drill four 6 mm
(¼") holes for the mounting bolts and one 38-mm (1 ½") hole for the
5953 DynaKey cable(s).

4.

 

Bolt the lower half of the Checkstand Base to the countertop.
