6. For each cabinet, remove the lexan cover over the ac terminals and connect the three-phase
wires to the
AC1
,
AC2
and
AC3
terminals (see Figure 4.4 on page 4-6 ). Terminate all wiring
using the appropriate size Cytolok cable connectors (Nautel Part # JA93 for 535 MCM
wire), which are provided in the ancillary kit (see
Figure 4.5 on page 4-7 for proper
installation techniques
).
7. Route the black, 1/0 AWG wire (for
Xo
) in Step 3 between one of the two
Xo
connection
points on the side of the transformer (see Figure 4.3 on page 4-5 ) and the top of cabinet 1,
down through its ac cable duct, to the
Xo
termination point (see Figure 4.4 on page 4-6 ).
Ensure the wire is properly routed along the cable carrying system and passes through
appropriate holes in any cable tray interfacing junctions. Repeat for cabinet 3. Terminate all
wiring using the appropriate size Cytolok cable connectors (Nautel Part # JA92 for 1/0
AWG wire), which are provided in the ancillary kit (see Figure 4.5 on page 4-7 for proper
installation techniques
).
8. Route the green, 1/0 AWG wire (for ground) in Step 3 between the
Secondary Cable Tray
GND
point on the side of the transformer (see Figure 4.3 on page 4-5 ) and the
Xmtr Ref
Gnd
point on the top of the output cabinet (cabinet 3) (see Figure 4.4 on page 4-6 ). Ensure
the wire is properly routed along the cable carrying system and passes through appropriate
holes in any cable tray interfacing junctions. Terminate the wire using the appropriate size
Cytolok cable connectors (Nautel Part # JA92 for 1/0 AWG wire), which are provided in the
ancillary kit (see Figure 4.5 on page 4-7 for proper installation techniques
).
9. Re-install the lexan covers removed in Step 6 .
10. Leave the transmitter cabinets’ back doors open to allow for station reference ground
connection in Section 5, “Connecting the station reference ground” on page 5-1 .
11. Reinstall the cover on the secondary side of the transformer cabinet. NOTE: You will need
to access the primary side of the transformer cabinet to allow for ac power connection in
Section 6, “Connecting ac power” on page 6-1 .
WARNING: DO NOT connect the X0 terminal of the power transformer
to ground. Connect as detailed in Step 7 .
