2. Using necessary mechanical assistance (forklift, etc) and/or sufficient manpower, position
the five cabinets in their final location, with their mating surfaces in close proximity. See
Figure 2.1 on page 2-2 for cabinet layout. Cabinets are labeled to assist in their positioning.
3. During assembly, remove any packing materials, loose wires or connectors that are
sandwiched between cabinet mating surfaces.

4. Install the ac disconnect switch in the selected location and label it
TRANSMITTER
EMERGENCY ON/OFF SWITCH.
Verify that the ac power cable and conduit or tray from the
ac power disconnect switch reaches the entry point in the power transformer cabinet.
5. Cover the top of the transmitter, using a plastic sheet or suitable equivalent, to prevent debris
and hardware from falling into the transmitter. Keep the sheet on the transmitter until
Section 10, “Commissioning tasks” .
Note:
The position of the transformer cabinet can be determined by the user. The cabinet’s location
should accommodate input wiring from the ac power disconnect switch, and output wiring to each
of the transmitter cabinets, as well as a cable carrying system to support the output wiring.
