E.5 NGFS Robot Programming
In order to properly detect gas flow, the correct robot position must be programmed with the nozzle inserted
into the cone of the sensor. An approach position is recommended as the first step followed by the target
position inside the cone.
The following figures and flowchart show the recommended programming sequence with nozzle location for
the approach and target positions.

Approach Position: the nozzle is in-line with
and directly above the cone.
Target Position: The nozzle lightly touches the
inside of the cone. The nozzle is vertical. If
using the Nozzle Detect sensor, ensure the
nozzle is within the sensing distance (1.5 mm).
