Take into account any machine idling times and downtimes to esti-

mate these values more accurately for a specified time period. This

may significantly reduce the load during the machine operating

period.

Use

The cordless drivers are specified for screwing into woods, metals,

and plastics.
The user himself is liable for any improper use.

Double insulation

To ensure maximum safety of the user our tools are designed and

built to satisfy applicable European standards (EN standards). Tools

with double insulation are marked by the international symbol of

a double square. These tools must not be grounded and a two-wire

cable is sufficient to supply them with power. Tools are shielded in

accordance with EN 55014.

Charging battery pack instructions

1.  Make sure that the mains supply is the same as that shown

on the charger rating plate. Connect charger (8) to the power

source. The yellow LED pilot lamp should go on. This indicates

that the charger is ready for charging.

2.  Insert the battery pack (1), see the Figure above, into the op-

tional charger shaft (9) as far as the stop.

3a. The red LED pilot lamp in front of the charging shaft, which

the battery pack is inserted into, is off and the green LED pilot

lamp starts to flash - the battery pack is charged.

3b.

If two battery packs are inserted into the charger simulta-

neously, the batteries are charged one after another.

 The

battery pack, inserted into the charge shaft as the first one, will

be charged at first; when charged fully, then it is the turn of the

second battery. The charged battery pack is indicated by the

LED pilot lamps - see item 3a above. The battery pack waiting

for charging is indicated by the LED pilot lamps as follows: the

red LED pilot lamp lights continuously and the green LED pilot

lamp is off.

4.  As soon as the green LED pilot lamp of the relevant charger

shaft starts to light continuously and the red LED pilot lamp is

off, the battery pack is charged and ready for use. If the battery

pack stays in the charger, the relevant charger shaft is switched

to the maintaining mode. The maintaining mode means that

the battery back is recharged continuously by a low current to

avoid spontaneous battery pack discharging.

5.  Take the fully charged battery pack out of the charger shaft

and disconnect the charger from the power source, unless you

intend to charge another battery pack or unless the battery

pack is left in the charger in the maintaining mode.

New accumulators:

During the first cycles of charging capacity of the new accumula-

tor can be lower than the rated value, namely due to the fact that

chemical accumulator composition has not been activated yet.

This state is of temporary nature and will be compensated after

a few cycles of charging.

Note:

•  Disconnect charge from the power source when not in use.
•  Do not leave the battery pack in the charger shaft if the charg-

er is disconnected from the power source.

Survey of signals of red and green charger LED pilot

lamps (10):

Each charger shaft is connected separately with one pair of LED

pilot lamps (10).

Important notes for charging:

1.  The longest service life and the best capacity can be reached

if the battery packs are charged at the ambient temperature

ranging from 18 °C to 24 °C.

DO NOT RECHARGE

 the battery

packs at the temperature below 4.5 °C or over 40.5 °C. This

is very important. You can thus prevent serious battery pack

damage.

2.  Recharge the battery packs in time, before they are discharged

ful¬ly. If you establish that your accumulator-operated device

loses its power, stop it and recharge the battery pack in a suit-

able charger, otherwise the battery packs can be damaged

permanently (irre¬versibly).

3.  The charger is designed to fast charging / recharging of the

battery pack with the internal temperature ranging from 0 °C

to 45 °C. If the battery pack just inserted is too cold or too hot,

the charger will not recharge it and only the green and the red

LED in¬dicators will flash. After the battery pack temperature

fits the standard temperature range, the fast recharging proce-

dure will be started automatically.

4.  If the battery packs cannot be charged duly (the red pilot lamp

is on intermittently):

•  Check battery pack contact areas for possible pollution. Clean

them by a cotton swab and spirit, if necessary.

•  If the battery packs still cannot be charged correctly, send or

hand over the charger (incl. the battery packs) to the nearest

authorized service centre.

5.  Under certain conditions, with the charger plugged into the

power source, the exposed charging contacts inside the charg-

er can be short-circuited by a foreign material. Foreign materi-

als of a conductive na¬ture, such as steel wool, aluminum foil or

deposited metallic particles should be kept away from charger

cavities. Disconnect the charger from the power supply source

before attempting to clean.

6.  If more charging operations are performed consecutively, the

charger can become warm. It is normal and does not indicate

any technical defect.

7.  Prevent leak of liquid into the charger to avoid electrical acci-

dent. If you want to facilitate battery pack cooling after its use,

do not place it in a warm(ed) environment.

8.  The battery packs can remain placed in the switched-on charg-

er without any damage to themselves or to the charger. The

battery packs remain in the fully charged state in the charger.

DO NOT LET

the charged battery packs in the charger discon-

nected from the power supply source.

9.

DO NOT USE THE BATTERY PACK

if it is damaged and liquid

leaks from the battery pack cells. If your skin is stained by the

leaked material, wash the affected part immediately and ob-

serve possible skin reaction. Seek medical assistance, if neces-

sary.

10. If you charge the not yet fully discharged battery pack or if you

terminate battery pack charging before the fully charged state

is reached, each such cycle has to be considered one complete

cycle of charging.

Notes for lithium (Li-Ion) accumulators

•  This battery pack type does not suffer form the memory effect,

it means that the accumulators can be charged in any state

of charging. If you remove the battery pack from the battery

compartment before the battery is fully charged, it will not

cause any damage to the battery.

•  The Li-Ion accumulator is equipped by protection from deep

discharge. If the voltage drops below the preset limit (by

overload or discharge), the electronic system disconnects the

accumulators. The device then works intermittently or does

not work at all. It is necessary to reduce machine load or to

recharge the accumulator.

Accumulator storage

Store the accumulators in the fully charged state in a dry and dust-

free room at the ambient temperature ranging preferably from

5 °C to 40 °C. If you do not use the accumulators for a longer time

period, it is recommended to charge the accumulators fully once in

three months as a minimum!
