Once the different parameters have been set (acceleration and braking rates, speed,
temperature and time), proceed as follows:
Put the tubes in the rotor making sure they are perfectly balanced.
Note: an upset of the rotor caused by tubes not well balanced will produce vibrations
that debilitate the centrifuge. The equipment presents a safety device that automatically
stops centrifugation in case of detecting severe vibrations of the rotor.
Put the lid of the rotor and hold it well with the screw at the top (Fig. 3).
Close the lid of the centrifuge.
Press start
(2.18)
to begin operation. Automatically, the lid will be locked by means of an
electromagnetic lock and the lid indicator
(2.15)
will show that the lid is blocked (orange
light).
The centrifuge will stop after the selected time has passed. When the rotor stops, the lid
will be automatically unlocked and the lid indicator
(2.15)
will show that the lid can be open
(green light). To stop the centrifuge before the operation time has passed, press stop
(2.19)
.
Note: If power cut occurs during operation, the lid must be unlocked manually. For this,
introduce the needle supplied into the hole placed at the right side of the centrifuge (Fig. 4).
