1. FOREWORD
Main features and application scope:
The Series ECO 2640 low-speed centrifuge (hereinafter referred to as centrifuge) adopts
advanced technology such as its drive unit and microcomputer control, etc., which is fea-
tured with small volume, short startup time, stable running, low noise, convenient opera-
tion, high service efficiency, safety and reliability, etc., it can be widely used for separation
of solution constituents in such fields as of biology, chemistry, medical science, etc
2. IMPORTANT HINT
When the apparatus is working, the mass deviation of each centrifugal tube which con-
tains centrifugation sample shall not exceed 3g, and the tubes must be placed in the rotor
symmetrically.
When the apparatus operates, make sure to ensure that its operating voltage falls within
the specified range. When the apparatus cannot operate normally, first check if the power
supply voltage is normal or not!
Prior to startup of the apparatus each time, be sure to carefully confirm if the holddown
nut of the rotor is fastened!
When using the apparatus, be sure to use a single-phase 3-hole power socket and ensu-
re that it is grounded reliably!
In order to ensure the safety of the apparatus and the operator, when the apparatus
runs, the set value of its rotational speed shall not exceed its highest speed!
After power off of the apparatus, please wait for enough time (over 3 min), then switch
on the power supply!
3. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Precautions for operation
1.1. Prior to power-on
Each time when using this machine, be sure to carefully check if there are cracks on the
rotor and centrifugal pipe used for this machine or if there is serious corrosion phenome-
non, if any, change it immediately.
Keep interior of centrifuge chamber clean and prevent water accumulation and prevent
particular foreign matters from entering into the chamber.
The power supply to be used must be identical with the input voltage specification of
the centrifuge, that is, single-phase 220V/50Hz and ensure that the input end of the power
supply has protective ground wire.
1.2 During the use
During the apparatus acceleration or deceleration, presence of short-time vibration is a
normal phenomenon, it is not necessary to turn off the power switch of the main machi-

Operation description
Turn on the power switch, the centrifuge will respectively display the set time and rota-
ting speed reserved after the last operation. At this time, if you need to modify such para-
meters as “timing”, “speed”, “centrifugal force” etc., you can operate according to the
following methods:
Modify time
Timing setting can be divided into: continuous running and running to set minute and
set second.
By pressing the
“min” (2)
key, the switchover will be made cyclically between two sta-
tuses, for continuous running status, the timing window displays ;for minute sta-
tus, the timing window displays (1-99 min)
By pressing the “timing setting” key for 1~2 times, the timing window will switch over
to the corresponding status, at this time, the window will flicker, press “
▲
” “
▼
” to
modify it to the required time value.
By pressing
“sec” (7)
key, for second status, the window will flicker for all-digital dis-
play, and the unit is second, press
“▲”
or
“▼”
to modify it to the required time value. (1-
999s)
Modify rotating speed
After pressing the
“speed ” (3)
key once, use
“▲”
or
“▼”
to modify the rotating speed.
Modify centrifugal force
Before startup, after pressing the
“RCF” (4)
key once, use
“▲”
or
“▼”
to modify the cen-
trifugal force; after startup, by pressing the “centrifugal force” key once, it will display the
centrifugal force corresponding to the current rotating speed. .
Note:
- the speed and centrifugal force are set alternately, i.e. once one of them is set, the other
is changed accordingly.
-
The current modified parameters such as timing, speed or centrifugal force can be con-
firmed as effective values only after normal running, and stored at the same time.
The centrifuge provides jog function, hold the
“Short spin” (8)
key, the centrifuge
begins to operate at the set speed, if the
“Short spin” (8)
key is released midway, then the
centrifuge begins to reduce its speed until it stops operation.
Fault alarm prompts:
Alarm sound
Meaning of alarm sound
Sound: tit-tit-tit…
Indicates the door is unexpectedly opened during the run-
ning.
Sound: tit, tit, tit, tit,
tit
Indicates the centrifugation has finished.
Sound: tit-tit-tit-tit
…
Buzzes once every minute to prompt that the sample has
not been taken out after centrifugation.
