The 24V power supply is directly connected to a UPS and sealed lead-acid battery to
provide 100% control panel device power backup for loss-of-grid ride through support.
Both the power supply and UPS are wired to the protection relay alarming contacts to
support fail-safe tripping logic.
Network Cable Entry
On the inside wall of the myPV ClearSky’s Utility Termination Cabinet, a dedicated wire
gland has been installed to allow for network cable passthrough to the Control Cabinet
network switch.
Network cables may be routed into either the Utility Side or Solar Side electrical
Termination Cabinets, and routed below the myPV ClearSky’s enclosed MV busbar
cabinet. There is an open plenum ~3” in height to allow for network cable passthrough,
to the where the gland is located.
No external conduit or cabinet penetrations are required.
Because both the Utility Side or Solar Side electrical Termination Cabinets are dead
front connections, with fully insulated MV components and labeling, there are no special
network cable voltage ratings required. If running any type of copper-conductor based
network cabling such as Cat5e/Cat6 or RS485 serial, shielded cable is required to
prevent electrical interference.
