4.2. CHANGING INK TYPES. 

This chapter explains the procedure to change the ink types. 
Follow the procedure below to change the ink types for printing. 
 

Step 1 : 

Check the following when the power of the printer is ON. 

• 

The printer is not printing. 

• 

The operation panel is in normal status. 

• 

The media setting light on the operation panel is OFF. 

 

Step 2 : 

Select the head cleaning menu on the operation panel. 

 

 

Step 3 : 

Select “YES”, then press the [F2] key on the operation panel. 

• 

Head cleaning starts. 

 

 

 

Step 4 : 

Remove all the ink cartridges. 

 

Step 5 : 

The printer starts ink discharging. 

 

 

Step 6 : 

When ink discharging is completed, the following message is displayed on the operation panel. 

 

 

Step 7 : 

Install 8 cleaning cartridges into all ink cartridge slots. 

 

Step 8 : 

The printer starts the ink routine cleaning. 

 

Step 9 : 

When the ink routine cleaning is completed, the following message is displayed on the operation 
panel. 

 

 

Step 10 : 

Remove all cleaning cartridges.
