Preparatory steps

Allow HP system to cool down.

Shut off fuel supply to engine.

Remove cylinder head cover (→ Page 193).

Injector – Removal

Disconnect cable connectors on injector.

Note:

Be aware of system pressure.

Slowly loosen nuts (4, 6) and remove HP fuel
line (5).

Note:

When the adapter is unscrewed, the stored
volume of the injector is drained.

Remove adapter (3).

Remove screw (2) and take off hold-down
clamp (1).
