Therapy for Incontinence
What is Incontinence ?
One used the term incontinence in the case of spontaneous and uncontrolled
loss of urine or stool.
Incontinence can be treated !
Anyone stricken with incontinence can be helped !
Incontinence is a widely spread problem. It is assumed to be realistic when
stating that in many countries half of the people ageing 50 or more are affected
by it. Even younger people can be afflicted with it.
Many fold are the causes for incontinence. Numerous factors - often combined
– are responsible for it, such as malfunctioning of hormones, poor muscular
functioning, injuries etc.
As a result of these varying causes, it is vital for an afflicted person to consult
a doctor. The doctor alone will be able to initiate a suitable therapy.
The electrical stimulation is not stressful, is simple in its application and al-
lows wide ranging use for treating bladder and discharge malfunction as well as
faecal incontinence.
Forms of incontinence, upon which medicines have little effect are well
therapeutible by electrical stimulation very often.
The aim of the electrical stimulation is as follows:
- focused training of the pelvic muscles
- strengthening of the bladder closing muscle
- attenuates the highly active bladder muscle
- regaining the physiological sensation of the bladder
- strengthening of the sphincter muscle
