Press ‘SETUP’ key, select ‘Cali’ and press ‘ENTER’ key,
meter enters into electrode constant calibration status.
Press ‘SET STD’ input the relevant figure stated in chart 3,
i.e. current standard solution’s conductivity.
When reading stable, you can press ‘ENTER’ key, meter
automatically calculates new cell constant, calibration
finishes. Press ‘CANCEL’ key, meter stops the electrode
constant calibration.
4.9.3. TDS Measurement
Note:
When measure high TDS, conductive electrode with big constant is usually be adopted.
When TDS≥10.00g/L, you must adopt the electrode with constant 5 or 10
Before measure TDS, you must refer to the chapter Selection of Conductive Electrode to confirm the
conductive electrode to be used in measurement, setup suitable cell constant, temperature
compensation coefficient and TDS switching factor. If you need to calibrate the electrode, you
should also calibrate cell constant under conductivity measurement parameter.
Please note that under TDS measurement parameter, you can only calibrate TDS switching factor.
Under starting state, if you have already selected conductive measurement mode parameter, such as
conductivity parameter, you can start measurement directly. Otherwise, you should enter into
‘Setup
Measurement Mode’
, select conductive measurement unit to measure. (
Please refer to ‘Setup
Measurement Mode’ for details
).
For the display, measurement procedure and operating, please refer to the chapter Conductivity
Measurement.
4.9.4. Calibrate TDS Factor
Select suitable standard solution according to the character and measurement range of measured
solution. For the relationship between TDS standard solution and conductivity, please see chart 4.
Press ‘MODE’ key, then press ‘PARA’ key repeatedly to switch measurement status to
conductivity measurement. Under conductivity measurement status, setup cell constant properly
through view conductive using parameter or re-calibrate conductive electrode constant through
calibrate conductive electrode. When it is finished, press ‘MODE’ and then press ‘PARA’ key
repeatedly to enter into TDS measurement mode.
Wash the conductive electrode with distilled water.
Insert conductive electrode into standard solution. Control solution temperature as (25.0 ±
0.1)
℃
Press ‘SET STD’ key, input the relevant figure stated in chart 4, i.e. current standard solution’s
TDS value.
