Automatic distinguish (or manual distinguish) means whether current distinguish mode is
automatic distinguish or manual distinguish.
Press ‘AUTO’ (or ‘MANUAL’) , you can switch between automatic distinguish and manual
distinguish quickly.
Press ‘GROUP’ to setup current STD group. In standard solution, when electrode displaying
is stable, press ‘ENTER’ key to calibrate current solution, press ‘CANCEL’ key to exit.
Meter has automatic distinguishing function, can distinguish 10 standard buffer solutions. Because
pH range of 10 standard buffer solutions maybe duplicated, in order to ensure the precision of
measurement result, before measurement, you’d better check the set STD buffer group.
For example
, you want to use 4.003pH, 9.182pH STD buffer to calibrate electrode slope, then
you can setup STD buffer group as 4.003pH and 9.182pH, otherwise meter could not distinguish
these two standard buffer solution automatically which will cause inaccurate of calibration result
or even cause the mistake of calibration. In calibration mode, press ‘GROUP’(F2) to set current
STD group
(please refer to chapter ‘Setup pH STD Buffer Group’ for details).
Calibration procedure is as follows:
Before calibration, please prepare 1 to 5 standard buffer solution (could be normal STD or STD
prepared by user himself), place the solution in constant temperature for certain period.
Setup STD group according to the procedure stated before. If it is abnormal standard buffer
solution, please select manual distinguish method.
Clean pH measurement electrode, reference electrode and temperature sensor, and then put
them in calibrated standard buffer solution.
When display stable, press ‘ENTER’ key, meter displays ‘Storing…’ and store the calibration
data.
Later, meter reminds user ‘End Calibration?’ If user has some other standard buffer solution to
be calibrated, please select ‘CONTIN’ key and repeat previous procedure to calibrate other
solution till calibration finishes. During calibration, user could press ‘CANCEL’ key in anytime
to finish the calibration.
Meter supports mostly 5 points calibration. When the fifth solution is calibrated and confirmed,
meter will finish calibration automatically.
For the standard buffer solution which pH ranges are duplicated, such as 6.864pH and 7.000pH STD,
we suggest calibrate as follows:
When user calibrate 6.864pH standard buffer solution, select STD group as self-defining STD
group, setup STD group to 6.864pH only and then calibrate. After calibration of 6.864pH is
ended, setup STD group to 7.000pH only and calibrate again.
Manual distinguish method to calibrate, i.e. each time when you calibrate standard buffer
solution, manually input pH value of current STD which is in correspondence to current
temperature. You can calibrate in this way but it is a little complicated.
