Insert the connector in to the Power port on the bottom of the chassis.
IMPORTANT:
The connector latch must face the rear of the unit to enable potential
unlocking.

Slide the secondary lock/button to close the lever and secure the lock.

CAUTION:
When securing the cable, ensure that there is no tension on the connector to
allow for easy disconnection and reconnection for maintenance.

Connecting Cables for Remote (External) Antenna Assembly
SLX 5000 can use remotely attached antennas.
Prerequisites:
Ensure that N-type Hellax RF cable (ordered separately) is available.
WARNING:
External antennas connected to SLX 5000 must be grounded.
Disconnect power to SLX 5000 before disconnecting the antenna.
CAUTION:
Cables for connection must be weather-proofed.
Follow the instructions of the antenna manufacturer to install remotely attached antennas.

Procedure:

Disconnect each of the RF cables that connect the integrated antenna to the unit.

Screw the protective cap on the integrated antenna cable to prevent environmental damage.

Weather-proof the protective caps with self-amalgamating tape and PVC tape.
