5. Cleaning and Maintenance
General
NOTE! Performing cleaning and maintenance regularly reduces the chances of
equipment failure.
CAUTION! Personnel performing any maintenance or cleaning must familiarize
themselves with the
"Safety and Handling Instructions" on page 97 before
attempting any of these procedures.
The Dansensor® Lippke VC1400 device is maintenance-free. This particularly applies to the
pneumatics and electronic control systems.
Cleaning and maintenance of measurement accessories is described in the following.
Parts required for maintenance purposes are listed in "Consumables and accessories" on page
95 .
Cleaning
Device
All device surfaces should be cleaned using a mild soap solution and a wrung cloth.
Desiccator

All surfaces of the tub

, lid

and disc

should be
cleaned using a mild soap solution and a wrung cloth.

Please make sure that the suction tube adapter

is
clean. Disconnect it from time to time from the lid

and check if the needle and the orifice around the
needle is completely clean.

Solid residues can be removed cautiously by a needle-
shaped tool.

It is recommended to blow out liquid residues with
compressed air.

The O-ring

on the suction tube adapter and the O-
ring

on the desiccator tub guarantee the tightness
and reliable functioning of the system. Therefore, they
have to be replaced regularly.
