S15 Camera Manual: Installation

Selecting an Appropriate Camera Position

During installation, ensure that the camera is focused on the most important areas of the 
room as directly as possible in order to provide the desired level of detail recognition 
(camera focus). The S15 should be installed on a wall such that the two arrows on the 
back of the sensor module housing (S15D) or the rounded side of the camera housing 
(S15M) are pointing towards the ceiling.

To install the sensor module on thicker walls or with the 15° wedge (see next section), 
the MOBOTIX offers an extension that is attached to the sensor module at the back and 
secured with a bayonet catch.
