Preparing The Installation

Note

Part of the captured image area is concealed behind the protective cover of the M24M
housing, especially in the full image. For this reason, M24M cameras with L11 lens
should be adjusted so that the concealed areas are not those that are supposed to
be monitored. By panning/tilting/zooming the image, the concealed area can be
completely removed from the image.

2.1.4 Optional: Mounting To A Pole (With Accessories)

Installation on round poles is frequently used for cameras that are intended for mobile
outdoor use. For this purpose, MOBOTIX recommends using the pole mount, which is
available for the M24M as an accessory and is almost indestructible (MX-MH-SecureFlex-
ESWS). This pole mount is made from rust-proof stainless steel with a white coating and
is used in combination with the pre-installed VarioFlex mount supplied as standard with
the wall mount.

Poles with a diameter between 60 and 180 mm can be used. It is particularly advisable
to use cavity (metal) poles, in which the network cable is not visible and can be protected
from attacks. For more detailed information on the installation process, see Sections 2.6
and below. The appropriate drilling templates can be found at the end of the manual.
