Notes
The speciied focal lengths of MOBOTIX lenses do not relect the actual focal length
of the lenses, but the focal length (Lxx mm) converted to 35 mm camera format. For
example, the MOBOTIX L22 Super Wide Angle lens has an actual focal length of
4 mm. This would be the equivalent of 22 mm on a 35 mm camera. It is therefore
referred to as an L22. Since the image sensors in digital cameras have diferent
sizes, converting the focal lengths to 35 mm camera as a known format allows the
image formats and the ields of vision of the diferent lenses to be calculated and
compared more easily. Another beneit is that you can easily set a 35 mm camera
(analog or digital) to the same focal length as the MOBOTIX lens (Lxx) to obtain the
same ield of vision. This approach greatly facilitates lens selection.
