After protective cover removal, check the integrity of the white membrane. Do not remove or damage
the membrane.

Check for cartridge leak or sample spills on the cartridge.

In the case the cap is damaged or possibly contaminated, always use provided replacement caps in the
kit.

Before inserting the cartridge in the Novodiag® Instrument, check the integrity of the slide.

Do not turn the cartridge upside down, while checking the integrity.
CAUTION For proper use of the Novodiag® Test Cartridge:

Do not place any stickers or labels directly on the cartridge.

Do not write outside the cartridge label, and do not impede barcode reading (see Figure 4).
6.4. Starting a run
Bring the Novodiag® Test Cartridge in the blister next to the Novodiag® Instrument. From the Home view in the
Novodiag® Software, tap the “Start new test” button (see Figure 28).

Scan the Novodiag® Test Cartridge barcode by bringing the cartridge label to the aiming cross of the Barcode
Scanner (see Figure 29). The content of the barcode can be entered manually by tapping “abc” button, typing the
code and tapping “Enter”.
WARNING! To prevent any risk of an incorrect result, make sure you do not mix up cartridges and samples during
scanning.
