Section III: Shutdown
1. To shutdown, select the
STOP
button
from the LMDrawLite toolbar.
During shutdown, the
Ready
indicator
on the Control Unit will flash and a
small
Cooling Down
counter window
will be displayed. This indicates that
the LD (Laser Diode) Module is being
cooled down.
The amount of cool-down time
depends on what the LD current value
was set to prior to shutdown.
(Maximum: 300 seconds).
2. Allow the Marker to properly cool the
LD Module. Sufficient cooling is
complete when the
Ready
indicator on
the Control Unit stops flashing and the
small
Cooling Down
counter window
reaches 0s.
CAUTION
Never turn the Main Power Switch OFF when the Cooling Down message is displayed. Doing
so may significantly reduce the lifetime of the LD (Laser Diode) Module.
3. On the Marker Control Unit, turn the Control Key Switch to the
OFF
position and verify the
Key Switch
status display turns off. At this point the LD Module is deactivated.
4. To disconnect the communications between the Marker and the PC, select the
[Offline]
button from the LMDrawLite toolbar.
5. Once the
[Online]
status display turns off, turn the Main Power Switch to the
OFF
position.
6. Exit the LMDrawLite program by selecting
File > Exit
.
CAUTION
Never
disconnect the USB cable if the [Online] display is lit. Doing so may result in loss of
data and prevent the unit from restarting.
