Trunk lid

Locking and unlocking

Insert the key and turn it.

Pull the release lever located beside the
driver’s seat.

Press the electric trunk lid switch or OPEN
switch on the trunk lid. (See “Keyless opera-
tion system” on page 3-7.)
The trunk lid will pop up slightly. Lift it to
open the trunk.

CAUTION



When driving with a child in the rear seat,
please use the child protection to prevent
accidental door opening which may cause an
accident.

Trunk lid

WARNING



The trunk cannot be opened from the
inside. Be careful not to allow children to
get inside the trunk. If a child got trapped
inside the trunk, a serious accident could
result.



It can be dangerous to drive with the
trunk lid open since carbon monoxide
(CO) gas can enter the cabin.
You cannot see or smell CO. It can cause
unconsciousness and even death.
