The vacuum pump is made of grey cast iron.
•

Seal according to material and operating conditions

Observe the flow direction arrow on the pump nozzle.
•
Remove the flange cover from the suction and exhaust ducts of the vacuum pump.
•
Connect the nozzle to the pipe according to the flow direction arrow.
•
Treat the screws, nuts and washers of the flange connection with lubricant.
•
Spread the sealing surfaces of the flanges as far apart as possible, so that the seal can be installed without
forcing or damaging it.
•
Install the gasket.
•
Tighten the crosswise screws to the correct torque for the gasket used.
•
Connect the operating fluid supply.
•
Apply welding protection and lubricant to the threads of the connecting elements and roll up PFTE tape.
•
Fit the connecting elements on the operating fluid connection.
•
Tighten the connecting elements to the torque specified in the following table.

energy supplier.

The threshold value for overcurrent protection and mains disconnection devices is set taking into account
all tolerance values.
•
Ground the vacuum pump housing.
•
Install the sensors present.
•
Connect the motor in accordance with the circuit diagram on the terminal box / nameplate.
COMMISSIONING
Opening the pipes

The pipe system on the installation side is cleaned.
✓
Measurements on the system side ensure that the operating fluid level is at shaft level during filling the
vacuum pump.
✓
Fully open the shut-off valve for the operating liquid supply.
✓
Fully open the shut-off fitting in the suction line for the conveyed product.
✓
Fully open the shut-off fitting in the operating fluid exhaust line.
✓
Fill the system with operating liquid.
Check the rotation direction

The vacuum pump is electrically connected.
✓
The supply lines are open.
✓
The vacuum pump is filled at shaft height.
•
Briefly start the motor by switching it on and then immediately switch it off to observe the motor rotation
direction. The rotation direction of the impeller must correspond to the arrow rotation direction on the
pump.
•
If the rotation direction is wrong, check the electrical connection of the motor and the switchgear if
necessary.
