Marble cake
Serves approx. 18
250 g butter or margarine
200 g sugar
2 tsp vanilla sugar
4 eggs
4 tbsp rum
500 g plain flour
5 tsp baking powder
3 tbsp cocoa powder
3 tbsp milk
Method
1. Cream together the butter or
margarine, sugar, vanilla sugar and
eggs. Stir in the rum and then fold in
the flour and baking powder.
2. Stir the cocoa power and milk into
about 1/3 of the mixture.
3. Spoon half the remaining plain
mixture into a greased ring tin
(

26 cm). Spread the cocoa mixture
over the top, and finally the rest of the
plain mixture.
4. Swirl a fork through the mixture to
give a marbled effect, and bake.
