After selecting a Preset and making changes to Preset
settings, the changes are not automatically saved after
changing Preset settings.
Changes to Preset settings will be
lost if the Preset is recalled before Preset setting changes have
been saved.
To save Preset setting changes, you must perform
To recall Preset settings without saving the latest changes, you

. Recalling
Preset settings will recall the settings established when the
Preset settings were last saved, but will not recall any changes
that have not been saved.
The SCM4000 option menus are accessed using the front panel
SEL
key and/or the Left, Right, Up, or Down arrow keys. The
keys must be pressed and released to step through the
individual menu selections, options, and settings.
Each press and release of a key only moves the cursor one step
through the menu selections, options, or settings. It may be
necessary to repeatedly press and release keys to reach or
select the required individual menu selections, options, or
settings.
Please note that pressing and holding a key will not
automatically scroll through the menu selections, options, or
settings. Press and release the key to advance through the
menu until you reach the option required.
To select the option required, the Up or Down arrow keys must
be pressed to move the cursor (
>>
) to the option required and
either the
SEL
key or the Right arrow key must be pressed. A

. To return to the Main
Screen from any menu, repeatedly press the
ESC
key.

Menus will only display a maximum of three options. If the menu
option is not displayed on the alphanumeric display, the Up or
Down arrow key must be pressed until the option required is
displayed.
Once your SCM4000 is powered up, you will be able to check its
current configuration, change certain Preset settings, and
monitor its operation and settings.
Your SCM4000 will consist of one of the following configurations:

SCM4000 Modulator/Demodulator

SCM4000 Modulator/Encoder
