GENERAL INFORMATION

®
6000-GTS and GTB are fully
encapsulated, limited-use gas-tight suits. As
fully encapsulating the suit is worn over working
clothes and the breathing apparatus. A number of
Model options are available, as described in this
instructions for use document. For all designs the
waist of the suit is supported by means of an internal
belt and they must ALWAYS be worn in combination
with compressed air breathing apparatus.

gas-tight suits are designed to protect
workers from hazardous substances, in particular
the wearer’s skin from danger caused by exposure to
solid, liquid or gaseous chemicals. They are suitable
for use within certain contaminated environments
only and wearers are strongly advised to read
carefully these operating instructions. In accordance
with EC regulations all wearers of such Personal
Protective Equipment (“PPE”) should be fully trained
to ensure safe operation.

6000, limited-use gas-tight suits,
should be worn by persons who have been fully
trained. For detailed instructions on the safe-
use of the respiratory equipment please refer
to the manufacturers instructions provided with
those items. If the suit is heavily contaminated
or mechanically damaged in any way it MUST be
disposed of. MICROCHEM

6000 GTS/GTB suits
are supplied with a clear PVC peel-off film material
affixed to the visor. This film should not be removed
unless contamination occurs to an extent which
results in discoloration of the film and/or distortion of
the wearers vision occurs.
WARNING - if the PVC film is removed then the visor
clarity may be affected if it is heavily contaminated by
Dichloromethane or Sulphuric Acid.

the product has been used inappropriately or not as
intended. The selection and use of the product are the
exclusive responsibility of the individual operator.
Product liability claims, warranties also as guarantees
made by Microgard Ltd with respect to the product
are voided, if it is not used, serviced or maintained in
accordance with the instructions in this manual.
The determination of suitability of Microgard products
for an application is the final responsibility of the user.
