*
Step 3: Remove the slip washer.
Step 4: Remove the glove support collar.

Step 6: Insert the glove support collar into the new glove. Push the collar into the glove so that the glove is
stretched around the collar Note The collar MUST be inserted into the glove with the Microchem name
towards the fingers of the glove
Step 7: Locate the ‘O’ ring over the glove and fit into the recess of the support collar. Feed the glove into the cuff,
ensuring the left glove is in the left and the same for the right glove. Make sure that the back of the glove

using the tool provided.
Step 11: Locate the safety retaining clamp around the cuff and retaining collar, with the tightening screw at the
back of the glove. Make sure that the clamp is located over the rim of the cuff and that the lugs are
located between the retaining collar grips. Tighten the screw using the tool provided, until both lugs
under the screw are located between the grips, with a 2mm gap.

Gloves should be worn when removing the retaining collar as contamination may not have been completely removed from the collar during decontamination
If gloves are damaged or contaminated during use then they may be changed but only by a properly
trained, competent person. The attachment of non-approved gloves is not allowed and following each
change the suit must be re-tested for leak-tightness in accordance with the instructions provided in this
booklet. A record of all changes and subsequent testing should be maintained on the record card provided
with each suit. For advice please contact Microgard.
