Washing Screens

CAUTION

FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. USE PROPER PPE WHEN USING STEAM OR
PRESSURE EQUIPMENT.

TIP

ALWAYS  WASH  SCREENS  PRIOR  TO  STORING  THEM  TO  AVOID  MECHANICAL
DAMAGE.  WASH  THE  SCREENS  WITH  AN  APPROPRIATE  MEDIUM  BEFORE
SHUTTING  DOWN  EQUIPMENT.  THIS  WILL  AVOID  PLUGGING  OR  BLINDING  THE
SCREEN  MESHES  WITH  DRIED  SOLIDS.  NEVER  USE  A  WIRE  OR  STIFF  FIBER
BRUSH TO CLEAN THE SCREENS.

Washing Screens Plugged With Solids

1.

Remove screens from the shaker, using procedures from paragraph 15.3.1.

2.

Wash screens from the underside using a compatible base fluid.

3.

Change screens to a finer screen mesh.

15.3.4

Storing Screens

•

Store screens in original cardboard packaging to protect screen mesh.

•

Horizontal or vertical stacking is permissible.
