1 Introduction

1.5

Technical support

Modifications performed by the upfitter must not impair
the safety of the Metris. Through their representative,
UPFITTER MANAGEMENT VANS, MBUSA and MBCAN
provide support on Metris vans including technical
data, drawings and product brochures. Nevertheless,
the upfitter is responsible for ensuring that their modifi-
cations do not impair the safety of the vehicle.
MBUSA and MBCAN, represented by UPFITTER MAN-
AGEMENT VANS, are not responsible for approving or
rejecting modifications or equipment installations on
the Metris, which are carried out by upfitters, dealers
or other parties. This is because MBUSA and MBCAN
as well as their representative UPFITTER MANAGEMENT
VANS do not assess the upfitters or their manufactur-
ing techniques and also accept no responsibility as the
final-stage manufacturer or for the resulting product
liability.
