Upholstery
Leather: Wipe leather upholstery with
a damp cloth and dry thoroughly or
clean with MB leather care. Exercise
particular care when cleaning p e rfor­
ated leather as its underside should
not become wet.
Velours: Pressure marks resulting
from dam pness and heat may appear
to be stains. Such marks can be
rem oved by wiping w ith a moistened
brush, ironing with a w et cloth or by
treating w ith a dry shampoo. Do not
sit on damp upholstery. Q uick drying
is achieved by applying hot air — fo r
example, by using a hair dryer. If in
doubt, please consult your authorized
MERCEDES-BENZ dealer.
| j | k A m a re tta : For cleaning brush and
vacuum frequently. Use the dry sham ­
poo if the seats have heavy dirt accu-
■ mulation.
Using afterm arket seat covers or
wearing clothing that have the te n ­
dency to give o ff coloring (e.g. when
wet, etc.) may cause the upholstery
(velour fo r example) to becom e pe r­
manently discolored. By lining the
seats with a proper interm ediate
cover, contact-discoloration will be
prevented.
Paintwork, Painted Body
Components
M B-G loss Preserver should be
applied when w ater drops on the
paint surface do not “ bead up” ; nor­
mally in 3 - 5 m onths depending on
climate and washing detergent used.
M B-Polish should be applied if paint
surface show s signs of d irt em bed­
ding (i.e. loss of gloss).
MB-Fine Polishing Paste m ust be
used when the paint surface shows
signs of excessive fading/chalking
due to lack of care, etc..
Do not apply any of these products or
wax if your car is parked in the sun or
if the hood is still hot. Use the appro­
priate MB Touch-U p S tick fo r quick
and provisional repairs of m inor paint
damage (i.e. chips from stones, car
doors, etc.).
Light Alloy Wheels
If possible, clean w heels once a week
with MB-alloy wheel cleaner and
sealer. Use an ample supply o f water.
Ornamental Moldings
For regular cleaning and care o f very
dirty chrom e-plated parts, use a
chrom e cleaner.
