Stereo reception
The stereo indicator B S S D lights up
if a stereo program in the AM o r FM
band is received.
N ote: Since some AM stereo broad
casting is not com patible with your
car radio reception capabilities, you
may experience limited AM stereo
reception in some areas. The radio
receives AM stereo program s which
are broadcast via the C-Quam AM
stereo system.
The radio is equipped with an auto
matic stereo/m ono sw itch that elec

reception if a weak signal is received.
The stereo indicator will remain lit
even if the receiver has changed to
the mono mode and will turn o ff at an
antenna signal considered insufficient
to provide acceptable reception
quality.
N ote: A lthough FM is norm ally static
free, reception quality can be limited
by geographic and atm ospheric co n
ditions, station strength and distance
from transm itter. Buildings or other
o b stru ctio n s can cause m om entary
static, flu tte r or station swapping. If
good reception cannot be obtained,
tune to a stro n g e r station.
